Paella Valenciana
Paella Valenciana is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 plumb chicken, 1/2 c. butter, 1 crushed clove garlic, 2 c. rice and 1/2 tsp. saffron, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Cut chicken into serving pieces and saute the pieces in butter with clove of garlic until the chicken is a golden brown on all sides.
Remove and set aside the chicken.
To the juices remaining in the pan, add rice and saute until the rice is golden. Add saffron and hot chicken stock and cook over a very low flame until all the liquid is absorbed.
The rice will be only partly cooked.
