Oatmeal Bread
Oatmeal Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. oatmeal, 3 1/2 c. water, 1 tbsp. salt, 4 tbsp. sugar and 2 c. cold water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Cook oats in 3 1/2 cups unsalted water.
Cool slightly, then add salt, sugar and 2 cups cold water.
When slightly more than lukewarm, add yeast which has been dissolved in 1/2 cup cool water.
Add flour to make a medium stiff dough.
Let rise 1 hour; knead.
Make into 3 loaves.
Let rise another hour, then bake at 400° for first few minutes, then lower temperature to 350° and bake 30 to 45 minutes until lightly browned.
