Mincemeat is an impressive dinner. Made with 2 lb. lean meat, cooked tender and put through food chopper, 1/2 lb. suet, chopped fine, 5 lb. tart apples, chopped, 3 lb. raisins, chopped and 2 1/2 pt. grape juice, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Have mixture of first 4 ingredients come to a boil, then let simmer 1 hour.

To this mixture, add the remainder of ingredients.

Have mixture come to a boil and boil 10 minutes. Pack in clean jars.

Screw on bands tight.

Process in water bath for 30 minutes.

This is out of the old Kerr Canning book we used in the 40's.
