Meringue Kisses
Meringue Kisses is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 egg whites (at room temperature), 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar, 3/4 c. sugar, 5 sq. semi-sweet chocolate and 1 c. finely chopped walnuts, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Line 2 cookie sheets with foil.
In small bowl, beat egg whites and cream of tartar until soft peaks form, beating at high speed. Gradually sprinkle in sugar 2 tablespoons at a time, beating well after each addition until sugar completely dissolves and whites stand in stiff glossy peaks.
Preheat oven to 200Β°.
Spoon meringue into large decorating tube.
Pipe onto cookie sheet into mounds about 1 1/2 hours.
Turn oven off; let cookies stand in oven 30 minutes.
Cool completely on rack.
