Meatballs

Meatballs is an impressive dinner. Made with 1 lb. ground beef, 3/4 c. bread crumbs, 1 small onion, minced, 3/4 tsp. cornstarch and dash of allspice (optional), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Combine meat, crumbs, onion, cornstarch, allspice, egg, cream and salt.

Shape into small balls.

Drop balls into hot oil in skillet.

Brown well on all sides.

Transfer balls to warm plate. Blend flour with remaining fat in skillet.

Stir in water, bouillon cubes, salt and pepper.

Cook, stirring until smooth. Arrange meatballs in sauce and simmer, covered, for 30 minutes. Great with mashed potatoes!
