Italian Meat Balls is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. lean ground beef, 1/4 c. celery, chopped fine, 1 to 2 large cloves garlic, chopped fine, 3/4 to 1 c. bread crumbs and 1 tsp. salt (to taste), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Mix all ingredients. Shape into meat balls (each approximately 2 inches in diameter).
Cover bottom of skillet with cooking oil. Fry meat balls until a light brown color, not crusty.
Makes approximately 12 medium size meat balls.
Set aside to finish cooking in spaghetti sauce.
