Hungarian Gulya's
A simple Hungarian gulyás of beef chuck, onion, paprika, carrots, and potatoes simmered in a brothy stew. Warming, paprika-rich, and rib-sticking.

👨🍳 Instructions
Cut beef into 1-inch squares.
Add 1 1/2 teaspoons salt.
Chop the onion fine and brown in oil.
Add beef and paprika.
Let beef simmer in its own juice for 1 hour.
Add sliced carrots and chopped parsley.
Simmer for 1/2 hour.
Add water, diced potatoes and remaining 1 1/2 teaspoons salt.
Simmer until potatoes are done; add black pepper.
