Grandma's Sauerbraten
Grandma'S Sauerbraten is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 c. vinegar, 1 1/2 tsp. salt, dash of pepper, 1/2 c. sugar and 1 1/2 c. water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.

Marinate meat at least 2 days in water, vinegar, onions, pickling spice, sugar, salt and pepper.
Simmer meat in marinade 3 to 4 hours until tender (i.e. cook like pot roast after browning meat).
Turn occasionally.
Strain gravy.
Brown flour in a pan, then add to gravy mix.
Put in gingersnaps and meat to thicken gravy.
