Grandma's Light Bread
Grandma'S Light Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 cake yeast, 1 1/2 tsp. sugar, 1 1/2 pt. warm water, 2 medium potatoes and 2 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Cook the potatoes and mash.
Dissolve yeast in warm water.
Add yeast water to the mashed potatoes along with salt and sugar.
Mix well; place in a crock and leave it on a warm hearth to rise.
When mixture has risen almost to the top of crock, begin to add flour until you have a firm dough.
Let rise until double in size.
Then knead real good before shaping into loaves.
Let rise again, then bake at 350Β° for 40 to 50 minutes, or until broomstraw stuck in comes out free of dough.
Slice and spread with butter.
