German Potato Salad
This German potato salad bakes sliced potatoes with bacon, onion, sour cream, vinegar, sugar, and parsley, creating a tangy hot casserole that is even better later.
Cook the potatoes in salted water until tender, cool slightly, peel, and slice.
Cook the bacon until crisp, dice it, and reserve about 1/2 cup drippings.
Boil the sugar, butter, salt, pepper, vinegar, water, onion, and flour in the drippings until thickened.
Remove from the heat and stir in the sour cream.
