Date-Pecan Upside-Down Cake
Date-Pecan Upside-Down Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 c. butter or margarine, 2/3 c. packed brown sugar, 12 pitted dates, 1/4 c. granulated sugar and 1/4 c. milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Heat oven to 350Β°.
Heat butter in a 10-inch ovenproof skillet or greased 9 x 9 x 2-inch pan in oven until melted.
Sprinkle evenly with brown sugar. Arrange dates on top so that each serving will include one. Sprinkle with pecans.
Beat remaining ingredients except whipped cream on low speed 30 seconds.
Beat on high speed 3 minutes, scraping bowl occasionally.
Pour evenly over dates and pecans.
Bake 40 to 45 minutes or until wooden pick comes out clean.
Loosen edges of cake with knife. Invert on heatproof platter.
Leave skillet over cake a few minutes. Serve warm with whipped cream.
