Chicago Pizza Dough
Chicago Pizza Dough is an easy dinner. Made with 6 1/2 to 7 c. flour, 2 pkg. instant yeast, 3 tsp. salt, 2 1/2 c. warm water and 6 tbsp. vegetable oil, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.
In large mixer bowl, combine 3 cups flour, yeast and salt. Mix well.
Add warm water and oil to flour mixture.
Blend at medium speed for approximately 3 minutes.
By hand, gradually stir in remaining flour to make a firm dough.
On floured surface, knead dough 3 to 5 minutes.
Place dough in a bowl and cover with plastic wrap and a towel.
Let rest 20 minutes.
On lightly floured surface, roll dough to the size of pizza pan.
Lightly oil pan and place dough on top of it.
Cover with towel and let rise for an additional 30 minutes.
Add your favorite toppings and bake at 425Β° until bottom of dough is brown (approximately 30 to 40 minutes).
