Cheesy-Topped Chops
Cheesy-Topped Chops is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 8 pork chops, cut 1-inch thick (may use lamb), 1/3 c. all-purpose flour, 1 egg, beaten, 2 tsp. grated onion and 1/4 tsp. pepper, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
In skillet, brown chops in hot oil about 10 minutes; drain. Transfer chops to an 8 x 8 x 2-inch baking dish.
In a small saucepan, melt butter or margarine; stir in flour.
Add milk and cook and stir until thickened and bubbly.
Stir 1/2 the thickened mixture into beaten egg; return to saucepan.
Cook 1 minute, stirring constantly.
Stir in cheese, onion and pepper.
Spoon about 2 tablespoons of mixture atop each chop.
Sprinkle with paprika.
Bake, uncovered, in 350Β° oven for 30 minutes or until meat is done.
