Cheese Bread
Cheese Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 c. flour, 1 pkg. active dry yeast, 1 1/2 c. shredded american or swiss cheese, 1 1/4 c. water and 1/4 c. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
In a large bowl, combine 1 1/2 cups flour and yeast.
Heat cheese, water, sugar and salt just until warm, stirring constantly. Add to flour mixture and add egg.
Beat with electric mixer on low for 1/2 minute, scraping bowl. Beat 3 minutes on high.
Stir in as much of the 2 to 2 1/2 cups flour as you can mix with a spoon.
On a floured surface, knead in enough of the remaining all-purpose flour to make a moderately stiff dough that is smooth and elastic. Shape into a ball in a greased bowl. Turn once, cover and let rise in a warm place until double.
