Bulgarian Stew is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 lb. stew beef, 4 sliced carrots, 2 sliced celery stalks, 1/4 head cabbage, sliced and 2 potatoes, peeled and cubed, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Grease an oblong casserole dish, large size.
Cut in the vegetables and sprinkle with salt, pepper and a little sugar. Season the meat and mix into the vegetables.
Pour over the juice; stir and cover with foil.
Bake at 350° until done, about 2 1/2 hours.
The meat should be very tender.
This can also be baked at 300° for a longer time.
Makes 6 to 8 servings.
