Broccoli-Cheese Soup
Broccoli-Cheese Soup is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 tbsp. chopped onions, 2 tbsp. butter, 3 tbsp. flour, 1/8 tsp. pepper and 2 c. milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

In large saucepan, cook onions in butter until tender.
Stir in flour and pepper until well blended.
Add milk gradually. Cook, stirring constantly until thickened (about 1 minute).
Add cheese; stir until melted.
In medium pan, dissolve bouillon cubes in water.
Add bay leaf.
Bring to boil.
Add broccoli.
Cook until tender.
(Do not drain liquid.)
Add to cheese mixture and stir until well blended.
Remove bay leaf.
Makes 5 to 10 servings.
