Beef Jerky
Beef Jerky is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 lb. beef brisket, 1 tsp. liquid smoke, 1 tsp. salt, 1/2 tsp. garlic powder and 1/2 tsp. pepper, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Freeze brisket overnight.
Let it thaw a bit, then slice thinly against the grain. Mix the liquids and seasonings in a container and then add the strips of meat.
Shake or turn the container to coat all the strips thoroughly.
Marinate overnight. Put meat strips on a rack in the oven, set at its lowest temperature (warm for a gas oven, or lowest electric setting).
Be sure to use a drip pan or foil.
Check after about 5 hours of baking, but figure that it will take 6 or 7 hours to be completely done.
Take out before becoming too tough.
