Angel Icing
Angel Icing is an easy dinner. Made with 2 c. white sugar, 1/2 c. water, 2 tbsp. karo syrup (light) and 2 egg whites, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Beat egg whites until they hold a stiff peak (at least 2 minutes).
Put first 3 ingredients in a pan and stir.
Put on stove and bring to a boil (use medium heat).
Boil syrup until it spins a 6 to 8-inch thread or 242Β°.
Pour hot syrup slowly into egg whites beating all the time.
Beat until frosting holds its shape (soft peaks).
This frosting forms a crust, like divinity.
