Yeast Dough
Yeast Dough is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 pkg. dry yeast, 1 tbsp. sugar, 1/4 tsp. salt, 2 1/2 tbsp. vegetable oil and 3 to 4 c. flour (will vary on amount needed), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Put yeast, sugar and salt in mixing bowl.
Dissolve with 1 cup hot water (about coffee drinking temperature).
Let stand for 5 minutes.
Add oil and mix in flour 1/2 cup at a time, mixing it well.
Knead dough until it is smooth.
Put in clean bowl, cover with towel and let it rise until it is double the size it first was. Knead it some more and shape into loaves.
Bake at 425° for 5 minutes, then cut back heat to 350° for 35 minutes.
