White Fudge
White Fudge is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 1/2 c. sugar, 1/4 c. sour cream, 1/4 c. milk, 2 tbsp. light corn syrup and 1/4 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Combine sugar, sour cream, milk, butter, corn syrup and salt in heavy 2-quart saucepan.
Stir over medium heat until sugar is dissolved and mixture reaches a boil.
Boil 9 to 10 minutes at 238°, softball stage.
Remove from heat and allow to stand until lukewarm (110°), about 1 hour.
Add vanilla and beat until mix just begins to lose its glaze and hold its shape.
(Requires very little beating.)
Quickly stir in nuts and cherries and turn into oiled pan.
Let stand in pan until firm.
Cut into squares.
