Veal Paprika
Veal Paprika is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 6 slices bacon, 3 1/2 lb. veal shoulder or shank, 2/3 c. chopped onion, 1 1/2 tsp. salt and 3 tbsp. paprika, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Cut bacon into small pieces.
Saute with veal which has been cut as for stew into 1 to 1 1/2-inch pieces.
Add onion and cook until onion and veal are golden brown.
Add salt, paprika and chicken broth.
Cover and simmer until the veal is tender, about 1 or 1 1/2 hours.
Mix flour with water and then with sour cream. Stir into veal and cook until sauce is thickened.
Serve over hot, buttered noodles.
