Tomato Sauce
Tomato Sauce is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 8 lb. tomatoes, 1 c. chopped green pepper, 1 medium onion, chopped, 1 tsp. celery seed and 1/4 tsp. cayenne, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.

Wash, remove stem ends and cores and quarter tomatoes. Let tomatoes stand in colander to drain off excess liquid.
In 8 to 10 quart kettle, combine first 5 ingredients.
Bring to a boil; cook 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Put tomato mixture through strainer.
Add vinegar, sugar and salt to tomato purΓ©e. Return kettle.
A boil and simmer desired consistency, about 30 minutes, stirring often.
Hot tomato sauce into hot jars, leaving 1/2-inch space
(boiling water bath - 10 minutes).
Makes 2 pints.
