Sweet Sour Spareribs
Sweet Sour Spareribs is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 lb. spareribs, 3 tsp. salt, 3 tbsp. shoyu, 3 tbsp. cornstarch and 1 clove garlic, crushed, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Marinate spareribs in salt, shoyu, cornstarch, garlic and ginger.
Let stand for 30 minutes.
Fry spareribs in oil until golden brown.
Mix sugar, pineapple juice (*one small can is almost 1 cup of liquid; add enough water to make 1 cup) and vinegar in large pot.
Add cooked spareribs and simmer until tender (about 2 hours).
Add thickening made of 1 tablespoon cornstarch and 2 tablespoons water.
Arrange on platter and top with pineapple chunks.
