Stuffed Mushrooms
Stuffed Mushrooms is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. large mushrooms, 1/4 c. chopped onion, 1/4 c. green pepper, 3 tbsp. margarine and 1 1/2 c. dried bread crumbs, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Heat oven to stems from mushrooms.
Finely chop enough stems for 1/3 cup. Saute chopped mushroom stems, onion and green pepper in margarine until tender, approximately 5 minutes.
Remove from heat.
Stir in bread crumbs, salt, thyme, turmeric and pepper.
Heat margarine in shallow baking dish until melted.
Mushroom caps with stuffing mixture. Place mushrooms, filled baking dish.
Bake 15 minutes. Remove from oven and top with cheese.
Return to top rack of the oven.
Set to broil or 550Β° for 2 minutes.
Serve hot.
