Remove tops and seeds from peppers.

In a large kettle, bring water to a boil.

Cook peppers for 5 minutes.

Remove and drain. Cook rice according to package directions.

In a skillet brown beef and onion.

Drain.

Add tomato sauce, herbs, salt and pepper. Cook 5 minutes.

Stir in rice.

Stuff peppers with rice mixture. Place upright in shallow pan (baking dish).

Bake at 375Β° for 15 or 20 minutes.

Yields 5 to 6 servings.

Leftover peppers will freeze well.
