In a 1 1/2-quart glass casserole, heat oil 15 seconds.
Add water chestnuts and snow peas.
In a 1-cup glass measure, heat water 2 minutes.
Dissolve bouillon cube and add to vegetable mixture.
Cook vegetables, covered, 4 to 6 minutes, stirring once halfway through cooking time.
Combine cornstarch and cold water; mix well.
Push vegetables to one side of casserole and stir cornstarch mixture into broth.
Stir vegetables into sauce.
Cook 2 to 4 minutes, stirring every minute, until sauce is slightly thickened.
Salt to taste.
