Sherried Chicken
Sherried Chicken is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 whole chicken breasts, halved, 3 to 4 tbsp. butter, 1/2 c. sherry, 4 oz. can button mushrooms, drained and 1 pkg. mccormick gravy mix, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Lightly season chicken with seasoned salt (remove the skin and bones first).
Brown in a Dutch oven; add sherry.
Cover and bake at 350Β° for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
Remove chicken to a serving dish.
Measure pan juices and add water to make 1 1/4 cups liquid. Blend liquid and gravy mix in Dutch oven.
Bring to a boil and simmer uncovered 5 minutes.
Add mushrooms and blend in sour cream.
Pour over chicken.
