Scrapple is an easy dinner. Made with 3 1/2 c. meat stock or water, 1 c. self-rising corn meal, dash of hot pepper sauce, 1 lb. cooked, crumbled sausage and 1 tbsp. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Mix meal, flour and hot sauce in 1/2 of cold stock.

Bring 1/2 stock to boiling.

Slowly stir in corn meal mixture.

Cook and stir until mixture thickens.

Continue cooking for 30 minutes.

Stir in sausage.

Pour into well-greased loaf pan.

Cool and refrigerate. When firm, cut into slices.

Roll in flour and fry in oil until brown on both sides.

Serve with syrup.
