Scallop Cauliflower
Scallop Cauliflower is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 lb. cauliflower, 2 lb. mushrooms, 1 small onion, 1 stick butter and 6 tbsp. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Cook cauliflower (which has been broken apart), until tender and arrange in greased casserole pan.
Then wash mushrooms and simmer 30 minutes.
Cut the mushrooms in slices; cook 3 minutes in 1 tablespoon fat, turning frequently.
Next melt 4 tablespoons butter in saucepan.
Add finely chopped onion; cook until tender. Add flour while stirring constantly.
When smooth add milk and mushroom liquid.
Add salt, paprika and mushroom slices and sprinkle with bread crumbs mixed with 2 tablespoons butter and paprika.
Bake in oven 30 minutes.
