Ragout of Beef
Ragout Of Beef is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 lb. top round steak, 1/2 c. flour, salt and pepper, 2 tbsp. margarine and 1 tbsp. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Wipe meat with a cold damp cloth and cut into small cubes. Sprinkle with salt and pepper; roll in flour.
Melt margarine in a large saucepan.
Add meat and brown it well.
Stir in 1 tablespoon flour.
Add 1 cup boiling water.
Bring to boiling point, stirring constantly.
Add carrot and onion.
Cover tightly and let simmer 1 hour.
Add Worcestershire sauce and serve hot. Excellent over baked potato.
