Porcupine Casserole
Porcupine Casserole is an impressive dinner. Made with 1 lb. ground beef, 1/2 c. uncooked rice, 1/2 c. each, finely chopped: onion and bell pepper, 1 egg and 1 tbsp. worcestershire, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Combine beef, rice, onion, bell pepper, egg, Worcestershire, mustard, 1 1/2 teaspoons salt, 1/8 teaspoon pepper and garlic powder.
Form into 1 1/2-inch balls (about 18).
Place into a shallow 2 1/2-quart casserole.
Combine soup, water, ketchup and remaining salt and pepper; bring to a boil.
Pour over meat balls. Cover and bake at 350Β° for 1 hour.
Remove from oven; stir in cheese spread.
