Polish Torte
Polish Torte is an easy dinner. Made with 10 to 12 eggs, separated, 12 tbsp. sugar, 12 tbsp. flour (gold medal), 1 tsp. baking powder and vodka to taste (1/2 c.), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Beat egg whites until foamy.
Add sugar gradually, beating until shiny and will not pour from bowl.
Add egg yolks gradually or all at once to beaten egg whites, mixing constantly.
Add flour slowly.
Add baking powder.
Bake at 350Β° for 45 to 50 minutes in greased spring-form pan.
Check after 30 minutes.
When cool, cut in 3 or 4 layers.
Cool and set aside, then add vodka to taste.
