Pasta E Fagioli
Pasta E Fagioli is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 cans cannellini beans with liquid, 2 c. uncooked macaroni, 1 c. tomato sauce, 6 to 8 links sweet sausage, cut into small pieces and 3 pinches black pepper, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
In frypan with small amount of water, one teaspoon olive oil and garlic, fry the sausage.
Transfer to large pot.
Add remaining oil, sauce, pepper, salt and bay leaves.
Simmer 2 to 3 minutes.
Add 4 cups of water.
Bring to a boil.
Add macaroni, stirring slowly.
Cook for 5 minutes.
Add beans with liquid and reduce to simmer.
Remove and discard bay leaves.
If not loose enough, add more water.
