In medium bowl, with electric mixer, beat butter and brown sugar until fluffy.

Add eggs one at a time, beating after each egg.

Beat in soup.

Combine flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, soda and cloves; add to soup mixture alternately with milk, beginning and ending with flour mixture, beating at low speed until well combined.

Fold in raisins and nuts.

Pour into 8 or 9-inch greased and floured cake pans.

Bake at 350Β° for 25 to 30 minutes. Cool cake in pans for 10 minutes and then remove to wire rack.
