New Orleans Pralines is an easy dinner. Made with 2 c. sugar, 3/4 tsp. baking soda, 1 c. light cream, 1 1/2 tbsp. butter or margarine and 2 c. pecan halves, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

In 3-quart saucepan, combine sugar and soda.
Stir in cream. Bring to boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
Cook and stir to soft ball stage (234Β° on candy thermometer).
Remove from heat; add butter.
Stir in pecans.
Beat candy until thick enough to drop from spoon.
Drop tablespoonfuls onto waxed paper.
If candy becomes too stiff to drop, add a little hot water to make right consistency.
Serves 24.
