New England Clam Chowder
New England Clam Chowder is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/4 c. butter, 1/4 c. sifted flour, 2 c. milk, 3 (8 oz.) cans chopped or whole clams (drain and save juice) and 6 c. diced potatoes, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Melt butter in large fry pan.
Stir in flour.
Cook for 1 to 2 minutes smooth.
Cups of milk gradually and until smooth.
Add clams and simmer for 5 minutes.
Put potatoes and celery in microwave bowl with clam juice.
Minutes on High.
In a large crock-pot, place potato and clam mixture.
Add milk mixture.
Cook on high for 2 hours. Reduce to low and cook for 2 to 3 hours.
