Mushroom Sauce
Mushroom Sauce is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 tbsp. butter, 1 c. sliced mushrooms, 1 tsp. grated onion, 1 tbsp. flour and 1/4 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Melt butter over low heat in a heavy saucepan.
Stir with wooden spoon.
Saute onion and mushrooms in butter for 5 minutes. Blend in flour and seasonings.
Cook over low heat until mixture is smooth and bubbly.
Remove from heat.
Stir in milk.
Bring to a boil; boil 1 minute, stirring constantly.
Cook until thickened. Serve over noodles, potatoes, etc.
