Mushroom London Broil
Mushroom London Broil is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. round steak, 1 onion, thinly sliced, 1/4 tsp. salt, 1 tbsp. margarine and 2 tbsp. vegetable oil, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Cut both sides of steak into a diamond pattern 1/8-inch deep. Cook and stir onions and 1/4 teaspoon of salt in margarine until onions are tender.
Keep warm.
Mix remaining ingredients, except mushrooms.
Brush half of mixture on the steak.
Set oven to broil or 550Β°.
Broil beef with top 2 to 3 inches from heat until brown, about 5 minutes.
Turn meat over, brush on remaining mixture and top with mushrooms.
Broil 5 minutes longer.
Remove from oven and add onions.
