Mongolian Beef
Mongolian Beef is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. lean flank or sirloin steak, thinly sliced across grain and cut into 1/2-inch long strips, 2 tbsp. soy sauce, 1/2 tsp. salt, 1 tbsp. dry sherry and 1/2 tsp. dried pepper flakes, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Put meat strips in bowl; add 1 tablespoon soy sauce, next 3 ingredients and 2 tablespoons oil.
Set aside.
Mix remaining 1 tablespoon soy sauce with sesame oil; set aside.
Heat remaining 1 tablespoon oil in uncovered wok at 400Β°.
Add garlic; stir-fry 10 seconds.
Add beef; stir-fry 2 minutes.
Add onion and sesame oil mixture; stir-fry until heated through, 1 to 2 minutes.
Serve immediately, over hot cooked rice.
