Mom's Apple Pie
Mom'S Apple Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 stick margarine, 2 c. sugar, 2 or 3 c. water, 1 1/2 c. self-rising flour and 1/2 c. shortening, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.

Butter in 13 x 9 x 2-inch dish. In saucepan heat sugar and water until sugar melts. Cut shortening into flour until it resembles fine crumbs.
Add milk and stir only until dough leaves side of bowl.
Turn out on floured surface. until smooth.
Roll out to large rectangle, 1/4-inch thick.
Sprinkle cinnamon dough. Sprinkle apples over dough.
Roll up like jelly roll.
Dampen edge of dough with a little water and seal.
Slice dough into 16 slices, 1/2-inch thick.
Place in dish with melted butter. Pour sugar syrup around rolls.
It looks like too much water, but dough will absorb syrup. Bake 55 to 60 minutes.
