Molasses Yeast Rolls
Molasses Yeast Rolls is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 c. boiling water, 1 c. rolled oats, 1/2 c. molasses, 1/3 c. shortening and 1 tbsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Pour boiling water over rolled oats, molasses, shortening and salt.
Cool to lukewarm.
Dissolve yeast in warm water.
Add yeast, eggs and 3 cups flour to oat mixture.
Beat until smooth.
Stir in enough of the remaining flour to form a soft dough.
Knead until smooth and elastic, about 5 minutes.
Place in greased bowl and cover.
Let rise until double in size, about 1 hour.
Punch down. Shape into rolls and place in shallow pan.
Cover loosely.
Rise until doubled in size, 30 to 40 minutes.
Bake in a 350Β° oven for 20 to 25 minutes.
Brush with melted butter.
Makes 3 dozen rolls. Enjoy!
