Molasses Pudding
An old-fashioned spice-and-molasses steamed pudding heady with ginger and cinnamon. The kind of dark, sticky cake that pairs with whipped cream on a cold afternoon.

Mix oil, molasses and egg.
In another bowl, mix flour, salt, ginger, sugar and baking soda.
Gradually add flour mixture to molasses mixture.
Then add water.
Mix ingredients well.
Pour into greased 13 x 9-inch cake pan.
Bake at 350Β° until sides start leaving edge of pan.
