Microwave Swedish Crunch
Microwave Swedish Crunch is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. walnut halves, 3/4 c. almonds or pecans, 1/4 c. butter or margarine, 1 tsp. cinnamon (optional) and 1 egg white, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Combine walnuts and almonds in 2-quart (12 x 17-inch) glass baking dish.
Microwave on High for about 2 minutes or until hot. Beat egg white in a small mixing bowl until stiff peaks form. Beat in sugar and salt. Stir in hot nuts. Set aside.
Place butter in 2-quart (12 x 7-inch) glass baking dish.
Microwave for about 1 minute on Roast or until melted. Add cinnamon (if desired) to nut mixture and mix.
Spread nut mixture into melted butter and microwave on Roast for 6 minutes. Stir well and continue cooking on Roast for an additional 5 minutes or until glazed. Stir well and let stand 10 minutes until cool and hardened.
Break apart and serve.
