Microwave Sesame Chicken
Microwave Sesame Chicken is an impressive dinner. Made with 4 boneless chicken breasts, 1/4 c. brown sugar, 1/3 c. soy sauce, 1/4 c. dry sherry and 2 tbsp. sesame oil, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Combine brown sugar, soy sauce, dry sherry, sesame oil, ginger root, black pepper, cayenne pepper and garlic in 2-quart microwave casserole dish.
Cut chicken into 1/2-inch strips and add to marinade.
Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 1/2 hours. Drain chicken; reserve 1/4 cup marinade.
Combine reserved marinade and cornstarch.
Stir in chicken.
Cover again with plastic wrap (vent 1 corner).
Cook on High 5 minutes.
Uncover and stir in red pepper and scallions.
Re-cover (vent corner).
Cook on High 2 to 3 minutes until chicken is tender.
Stir in remaining ingredients. Re-cover with plastic wrap; let stand 1 minute.
Serve with rice. Serves 4.
