Microwave Baked Custard
Microwave Baked Custard is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. milk, 4 beaten eggs, 1/3 c. sugar, 1 tsp. vanilla and dash of ground nutmeg, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Heat milk at High for 3 to 4 minutes to very hot, but not boiling.
Combine eggs, sugar, vanilla and salt.
Beat until well blended.
Gradually add hot milk, beating well.
Divide mixture evenly between 6 custard cups.
Place cups in 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish.
Sprinkle with nutmeg.
Pour about 1/2 cup hot water around cups.
Cook at Medium (50%) for 8 1/2 minutes, rearranging cups after 3 minutes.
Continue cooking at Medium for 5 minutes, testing for doneness every 30 seconds and removing any that are soft set.
