Matzo Balls
Matzo Balls is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 eggs, 1/2 c. water, 1/3 c. vegetable oil, 1 tsp. salt and pepper to taste, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
In a medium mixing bowl, beat eggs.
Add water, oil, salt and pepper; mix well.
Add matzo meal and stir.
Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate at least 1 hour.
This gives the matzo batter a change to thicken.
Fill a large pot with water and bring to a boil.
Shape batter into small balls and drop into boiling water. Cook, covered, for 20 minutes.
Do not peek to see how they are boiling.
Cook longer for softer matzo balls.
Remove from water and add to chicken soup.
