Mashed Potatoes
Mashed Potatoes is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 9 large baking (idaho) potatoes, peeled and diced, 1/2 c. (1 stick) butter (at room temperature), 12 oz. cream cheese (at room temperature), 3/4 c. sour cream and 1/2 tsp. nutmeg, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Place potatoes in large saucepan and add water to cover.
Heat to boiling.
Reduce heat and simmer over medium heat until tender, then drain.
Place potatoes in mixer bowl.
Cut butter and cheese into small pieces and add to potatoes.
Beat with electric mixer until light and fluffy.
Beat in sour cream.
Season with nutmeg, salt and pepper.
Serve immediately or reheat in a buttered casserole at 300Β° for 20 minutes.
