Low Country Boil
Low Country Boil is an moderately easy dinner you can prepare in about 2 hours 20 minutes. Made with . medium or large shrimp (25 to 35 lb. or 45 to 55 lb.), . beef or pork sausage, to 4 c. beer or water, chunks fresh green corn on cob (6 to 10 pieces) and green peppers, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Mix 1/4 cup
Tabasco sauce, tablespoon salt and 2 teaspoons seafood seasoning in a large bowl or pan.
Marinate fresh shrimp in the mixture for 30 to 45 minutes. Cut onions in rings and let boil water or beer for 5 minutes, cut sausage in chunks and bring to a boil, let simmer until juices permeates from sausage and remaining seasoning, celery and green pepper, simmer for 5 minutes, add corn, then shrimp, let simmer for 10 minutes occasionally stirring to be sure all shrimp and pieces corn have been immersed in boil for at least 5 minutes.
Place platter and serve with your favorite seafood sauce.
Serves 6 to 10 people.
