Jordan Marsh Blueberry Muffins
The legendary department-store muffin: tender butter-rich crumb packed with fresh blueberries and topped with a crackling sugar crust. A Boston-bakery icon worth recreating at home.

On low speed, cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
Add eggs, one at a time; mix until blended.
Sift dry ingredients; add alternately with milk.
Mash 1/2 cup berries; stir in by hand. Add rest of whole berries; stir.
Grease muffin tins and tops. Pile mixture high in muffin cups.
Sprinkle with sugar.
Bake at 375Β° for 30 minutes.
Cool in pan at least 30 minutes.
