Indian Fry Bread
Indian Fry Bread is an easy dinner. Made with 4 c. flour, 1 tbsp. salt, 1 tbsp. baking powder, 1 1/2 c. water (more if needed) and oil for frying, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

In a large bowl combine flour, salt and baking powder.
Mix well.
Stir in water, about 1/4 cup at a time, until mixture forms a stiff dough.
Knead about 5 minutes, until dough is thick and elastic.
Pinch off about 2 tablespoons dough and form very thin round patties, using a rolling pin or hands.
Fry in hot oil (365Β°), turning once, until brown on each side.
Makes about 24 breads.
